This Is Max

Welcome

You’ve made it to downtown Seattle’s destination for leather-jacket-loving, boundary-breaking imaginations. To the place where art, photography, and music blend with playful signature amenities, and plenty of attitude. The original Andy Warhol in the lobby is just the beginning, settle in and let Hotel Max be your muse.

      Art & History

We go way back. Hotel Max began as the Vance Hotel, which opened in 1926, and was a major landmark. Inspired by the city’s artistic and architectural roots, Max has become a magnet for musicians, art lovers and the creatively inclined. As a key fixture in Seattle’s art scene, we’re always playing with art and music in different forms, from the extensive collection of photography throughout the hotel, to an entire floor dedicated to Sub Pop Records.

    Hey, friend! Welcome to Seattle.

Travel is all about experiences – all the places and people you meet along the way and our community of partners are some of the best.

Created to support our neighbors who are instrumental in creating all the culturally rich city vibes we all know, love (and appreciate), the Provenance Community Pass is available to use while you’re here with us. View our current partner experiences, offers and redemption instructions below. Each time you visit, you’ll likely see something and someone new. You can keep going back for more, but please limit use of special offer to once per stay.
